The focus this week is on sports teams on Facebook, I am sure there are lots of people out there who play sport semi-professionally (in the park on the weekend) and think hey we could have a Facebook page to tell everyone about what we are up to…. Here are some examples of teams who have promoted themselves via social media on Facebook to inspire you.
The England Football team have a great page with over 1 million LIKERs, but my favourite part is that they have an app that lets you get your own England Squad number on a shirt (a virtual shirt). This fits so well with the sport and team that it really engages fans.
