This is a fantastic example of a motivating landing tab, you have to LIKE the page for more information, and even if you didn’t want to be in the video I think this would intrigue you enough to LIKE the page to see what you need to do. The play on words is also rather clever “put your fans up” – ie lets get more LIKERs.

Today at special request from Fiona, I’m looking at what Government’s are up to on Facebook. This is actually very good timing, since yesterday I went and spoke to the Greater Dandenong council about their social media plans.
Fairfax County in the USA, have a great tab on their page called “ask Fairfax” where they encourage comments and questions. I’ve said this a few times before, but you need to make it easy (and obvious) for people to talk to you, and this is a great example of that.

Yesterday, yes Sunday! I did a talk to gymnastics clubs on social media, which was an overview of social media followed by tips and ideas on using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The reason I am telling you is because of Slideshare, this is a great site where you can upload presentations and videos for FREE, below is what I uploaded from yesterday (if you click on it you will go to the preso).
It amazes me that more people don’t know about Slideshare, it is a great resource both to put your content on and find others content. Even if you don’t have an account you can use it to search for information on topics, and often you can download the presentations to review at a later date.
