Are you going to let people talk to you?

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

On your Facebook page wall you can decide what people can do,

  • Write or post content on the wall
  • Add photos
  • Add tags to photos
  • Add videos

Often I will visit a page and find that they don’t let me “do” anything.  I think this is ridiculous!

Social media is supposed to be social (the clue is in the name).  It is all about listening, talking and building a relationship, how can you do that if you don’t let the other person talk?

How Do I Stop People Leaving My Facebook Page?

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

This question I get asked a lot.  No one wants to go to the trouble of attracting people to their page only to find that they are then leaving.  Before we look at how we can stop them leaving, we need to look at how they got to like your page.  Did you….

  • Bribe them to like your page with the promise of a free article?
  • Bribe them to like your page with the promise of a free gift?

If You’re Going to Do It, do it right, right…

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.NB2M6E5X4HMP

I have to be honest last week I was struggling with my blogging, I started about 3 blogs, and ran out of steam.  I was just going to put up something, but I thought it’s not going to be that good, so there really is little point.  Which is what this post is all about.  We all have those days when inspiration just doesn’t strike, where even though we have planned our blog posts we don’t actually want to write what was planned… Often we just put something out there just so that we can tick it off on our to do list, but what we put out isn’t our best work.

I really believe that posting on social media, whether it is 140 characters on Twitter or a 1000 word blog post you need to be adding value to your readers, this might be through:

  • Educating readers
  • Giving advice and/or tips
  • Making readers think
  • Explaining how to do something
  • Explaining why they should consider x
  • Giving your opinion on a topic
  • Showing them new tools to save time
  • Reviewing books/websites
