Good morning, Social Rabbit here lying on a sun lounger drinking cocktails (on hols), while trying to be your guide to the world of social media.

Today I want to share TED with you, if you don’t know what TED is, basically it is all about “ideas worth spreading”, the speakers are anyone from Bill Gates, to your neighbour on a wide variety of topics.  It is worth checking out the site.

The video I have put below is The Hidden Influence of Social Networks by Nicholas Christakis… yes it’s a long one, but a worth while one to watch, as he goes into friendship groups, networks and how people connect them, a lot of it is based on research that he has done.  It will give you some insights into social networking in the online sense.

The bottom lines:

- Networks have value
- Our experience of the world is based on our networks
- Social networks are required for the spread of things
