Mental Monday: SuperFreakonomics by Levitt & Dubner

Today I want to tell you about the book Superfreakonomics by Steven Levitt & Stephen Dubner, I read Freakonomics, their first book, this is the follow up to it.  Basically the book is written by two economists who have used research to come up with some facts that you might think sound strange, here are some from the book:

  • You are more to be killed drunk walking that drunk driving
  • The spread of cable and satelite tv in India has been most helpful in improving the lives of women
  • A prostitute is more likely to sleep with a policeman than be arrested by one
  • Terrorists can be identified by their banking habits
