Today I continue the journey to find great examples of how Facebook is being used in different industries. I set myself a MASSIVE task today, that of trying to find great examples from the Accounting profession. I looked up accountants on Facebook and looked at all 500+ pages, but there was not much to be found – this is a real GAP for anyone who has an accounting practice get out there!
The two examples below are from the same page, that of Alan Lewis Accountants, I like the image that they have on their profile picture – all about growth, it stands out, fits with what they are doing, and is FAR more exciting than just having their logo. The second screen shot is of the newsletter tab they have, there is a choice of 3 newsletters to sign up to depending on what you are interested in – this tells me that they understand that not everyone uses an accountant for the same reason.
The next example is from Butterworths Accountants, these guys get personal. They display photos of their team, they encourage the staff that work there, overall they make the accountancy firm HUMAN, something that often accountants lack!
The final example is from Diagno Accountants, rather than push their product or service, they are providing a valuable resource for visitors – they address what is happening in the marketplace, eg interest rates rises, and other issues that effect their clients. They are positioning themselves as the expert in their field, which is a great tactic to take in a market that is flooded with accountants, and people find it hard to differentiate between them.
Well I set myself a daunting task this week, since there are very few (these were the only 3) good examples of Accountants using Facebook in an innovative way and doing it well.
