The 4 E’s of Video

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

You may think that video is far to hard when it comes to content, but trust me it really isn’t.  There are so many ways you can use video, to educate, make people laugh, educate, inform and more.  You can make your own videos, get someone to do them for you or just use your web cam.

Videos can be added to YouTube, Facebook posts, LinkedIn posts, LinkedIn profiles, Tweets, your blog, your website, Google+ and more.  It is another way to tell the story, remember not everyone has the time or inclination to read information.  The big success story that you may have heard of with video is Wine Library TV, the brainchild of Gary Vaynerchuk who grew his family’s liquor store from $4million to $55million in 3 years.  Who knows the next success story could be you.

Often video gets ignored because it is perceived to be hard to do, but it doesn’t have to be at all.  Plan out what you want to do before you start, if you are talking to the camera try not to read from a script, and remember that you can always edit it later if needed :)  I will write a post next week with tips on making a good video on a low budget.

Yesterday I went on national TV in Australia talking about viral video’s.  You have have seen it or you may have blinked and missed it (the segment was under 4 minutes).  Just in case you did miss it check it out below.

Do you know How To?

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

“How to” videos are so underrated, they get a huge number of views because people want to know how to do things.  Watching a video rather than reading about it is preferred by many.

The YouTube how to video charts today show that the top “how to” video has had over 139,000 views in 2 days, it is below…
