Why Social Media Peeps Are Like Babies*

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

As you may or may not know I am currently in the UK working remotely while staying with family.  Over the last few weeks I have spent a lot of time looking after my baby niece who is 11 months old.  She is lovely (most of the time) and I have to say often makes me laugh.

Valentine’s Day for Marketers

Happy Valentine’s Day….  I hope you are loving your social media today :)

I found this infographic from Antavo, which I thought would make a perfect post for today.  This shows how as a marketer you can cash in on Valentine’s day (probably a bit late for this year, but maybe next?).  Basically you can see that it is probably worth promoting and selling your product and services to people on this day.

Here is what American’s will be spending their money on where love is concerned,

  • 65% on greeting cards
  • 44% on date night
  • 38% on candy
  • 32% on flowers
  • 19% on gift cards

They will spend their money on not just lovers, friends, pets, classmates and coworkers.

  • I felt sorry for them and shared the article?
  • I felt obliged to read it?
  • I thought “wow” imagine putting in that much effort to a blog post?
  • I thought have these guys got no other work to do?

Checklist to Writing a Post That Rocks!!

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

Writing a post that rocks whether it is on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, your blog or where ever is not as easy as it looks! (I hope I make it look easy!)  For example I found that with the content calendars that I post each month for the first few months people seemed to ignore them, that is they didn’t visit the post and certainly didn’t comment.

After I think it was about 4 months of posts. i.e. 4 calendars that finally they started to get comments, read and I was even asked where it was a few times.  You may think but why did you keep going for 4 months?
