Looking for the perfect plant nursery?…

Good morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

Today is another request industry – Nurseries.  Plant nurseries that is, find out how they are getting creative with their Facebook pages to encourage you to get your green thumb growing!

Proven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs on FacebookProven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs has a plant finder service that clicks through to their website to help visitors workout which plants would be most suitable for their garden conditions – a great way to sell product!

Johnson's Florist and Garden Centers - Blooming Since 1933 on FacebookJohnson’s Florist and Garden Centers have added a flickr tab to their page.  With such a visual product as plants and flowers this is a great addition because it showcases the arrangements really well.

Valley View Farms Garden Center & Nursery on FacebookOver at Valley View Farms Garden Center & Nursery they have a lovely tab that explains the history of the place.  This is a great way to explain to people that the business has been part of the local community for years and those who want to support local business will love it.

Proven Winners ColorChoice Flowering Shrubs on FacebookOn the Proven Winners page again they have a lovely tab on plant tips, which when clicked goes through to the notes tab.  This is a great way of instead of just having a notes tab making it easier for people to get to.  Plus it looks much more visually appealing.

ProGrass Landscape Care & Design on FacebookProGrass Landscape Care & Design have added a tab that explains about them and which services they offer – the services all link back to their website, so that people can easily get more information.

Al's garden center on facebook

Over at Al’s Garden Center he is offering a special deal on Primroses, get one free when you buy 12.  I love the tab it is so bright and appealing that it makes you think yes I’d like some, so you visit, and hopefully buy more than just the Primroses :)

White's Nursery & Garden Center on FacebookFinally the post would not be complete without a newsletter signup tab!  It is a good idea to have a newsletter so that you can build your database and have a list of people to talk to just in case your page ever gets shut down.

Nurseries have such wonderful products to display which are so bright and cheerful I am surprized that they have not made more of it on their Facebook pages.  There is nothing like a bright flower to cheer people up and the pages could be using virtual gifting to allows LIKERs to send flowers to friends and other touches to get people more engaged.
