Good afternoon, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.
The changes made to Facebook pages last week seem to have thrown a few people, so today I thought I’d delve into the tabs and clear up any mysteries! Just before we start for any newbies reading this, remember that tabs on your Facebook page are applications that you have added to the page, or tabs = apps!
1) Tabs were at the top and are now at the side under the page profile picture
2) You can still ONLY display 6 tabs at once
Here you can see the 6 tabs – the Wall and the Info tabs cannot be moved or deleted (the same as before). To see the other tabs (if you have more than 6) click on the more button at the bottom. If there is NO more button that means that you don’t have more than 6 tabs displayed.
If you think, but I’ve got lots added, where have they gone? Go to EDIT PAGE > APPS > find the application that isn’t showing > click on EDIT SETTINGS > now add the tab in the pop up box.
3) You can STILL move the tabs to display them in the order you want
Click on MORE, then on EDIT. This will take you to the image on the right, you can then drag and drop the tabs so that they are in the order you want. If you are having problems counting to 6 (what the?!) Facebook have added in a helpful line shown when you click on more – in the image on the left you can see it is under the poll tab for me. Nice of them….
With the tabs/applications, there are new ones added all the time, so check back into the Facebook Applications every once in a while to see what exciting new tabs are happening!
4) Apps have had a Facelift

You should also be aware that applications have had a facelift… They are now in the same layout as pages and personal profiles, see below. If you are adding app’s to your page you now find the ADD TO MY PAGE button underneath the tabs and the profile pic – I’ve drawn a red box around it here!
Just a short sharp post today. Now go and check your tabs and make sure you have showing what you want!
TIP: If you have new visitors set up to land on the welcome tab there is NO point in having that displayed as one of your 6 tabs!

Thanks for the tips! Good stuff!
