Examples of Tradespeople Facebook Pages

Good Morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.

Today has been a bit of a tough job, searching through Facebook to find examples of Tradespeople aka ‘Tradies’ with great Facebook pages, there isn’t that many Tradies on Facebook, which was part of the challenge, but here is what I found.

Jeff the Plumber at Wagner Plumbing: When you’re a tradesperson, your job really is all about the final ‘look’ and ‘feel’ of the product, that’s why  Jeff the Plumber at Wagner Plumbing has got it right, as he has made great use of his photos tab on his page.  Here he showcases some of his finished plumbing jobs – don’t worry no gruesome ones!  Photos are a great testimonial to the work that you provide your clients.

Mr Sparky
: Mr Sparky – Americas On-time Electrician was one of the best pages I came across.  Mr Sparky for one has a Landing Tab, so that when you go to the Facebook Page you land on this tab that tells you all of the relevant information about the company.  The tab is also eye catching, making you more interested in the page, rather than just landing on the wall.   Mr Sparky says that when you ‘like’ their page on Facebook you will get exclusive access to discounts, insider info on contests and also you will save money on your next service call – this would make me want to sign up!

Another tab I found interesting on Mr Sparky’s page is their ‘Schedule now’ tab, this is where you can book in directly from their facebook page, to have your comprehensive “36 Point Whole House Electrical Safety Inspection” – this includes a complete surge protection risk assessment and professional inspection of ALL smoke detectors in your home.  Upon completion of the “Whole House Electrical Safety Inspection”, you can have the “Peace Of Mind” knowing your homes’ electrical system has a “Clean Bill of Electrical Health”.   They then go on to say ‘So remember, Mister Sparky can repair or replace anything electrical in your home’ – what a great sell!

Baldwin Homes: Baldwin Homes is a custom home builder in America that builds kit style homes.  One application they have on their page that stood is out is their ‘Find a home’ tab – basically you can  put in your postcode/zipcode, your minimum and maximum price, and it will bring up a list of kit homes they have for sale in that area!

3 Little Birds Landscaping: One of the best ways to get your customers talking and interacting on your page is to set up a discussions tab like 3 Little Birds Landscaping has done here.  On the page they post discussions such as ‘Fragrance, What to plant for a pleasing scent’ or ‘Best Flowers to harvest seeds from’.  Not only is this informative to your customers, but it starts a conversation and gets them involved and they can respond to the discussion and ask questions, it gives them that extra bit of information for free – and everyone loves something free!

Frank the Plumber: One of the best ways to grow your clientele and database is to send out a weekly or monthly newsletter.  Frank the Plumber here, has set up his very own ‘Newsletter sign up’ Tab on his Facebook page, so that you can enter your details right then and there and be kept up to date on all the latest offers and specials.

Dennis’ 7 Dees Landscaping & Garden Center: If you’re a landscaper/gardener then gardening tips are just the thing that the customers who like your page are going to be interested in.  One thing you could do is to set up a ‘Gardening Tips’ tab like Dennis has done here, this again is giving your customers free and helpful information that relates to your industry.  You could apply this to absolutely any trade, carpenter, plumber, painter etc.

There is so much that you can do if you are a tradesperson to build your brand and clientele through your Facebook page.  Whether its setting up a landing tab with special offers, or adding a tab that consists of tips for your trade or even just utilising your photos tab correctly.  I searched through hundreds and hundreds of pages and these were really the only ones I found that were remotely interesting.  So if you are a tradie and you have a page, get cracking as there are so many simple things you can be doing to make your page stand out from the crowd.

If you already have a Facebook page for your business and are stuck for ideas on how to improve it, then let the Chief Rabbit review your page for you for only $147.
