Good morning, Social Rabbit here with your guide to the world of social media.
The reason that no one is responding to your posts is probably because you aren’t posting the right kind of posts… But that can be fixed. :)
First of all what makes a good post? The posts can be on your Facebook page, your LInkedIn profile, your Twitter account, here I refer to Facebook, but it applies to all social networks. Think about what would you want to see if you were visiting the page? What would you respond to? What comments could you write against the post? Often people just post facts up on a page such as:
Oranges contain more vitamin C than apples.
If you think about how you could respond to this, you could like it, but you are unlikely to write a comment to it, but if instead it was written:
True or False: Oranges contain more vitamin C than apples?
Now people will engage, it is a really easy question to answer, and even if you don’t know the answer you can guess true or false, and some people will write more as well. You can then comment at the end of their comments with something like “Yes it’s true! It’s x% more!”
When you are writing your posts think about
- The relevance to the topic of your Facebook page
- Being interesting
- Engaging your audience
- Enquiring/questioning
- Being entertaining
- Writing posts that are easy to comment on by visitors
- Asking questions that are easy to answer
- Giving relevant info
- Adding value to your visitors
- Are you doing what you promised visitors?
- Are you posting regularly?
- Are you reviewing what has worked and what hasn’t?
- Are you responding to posts?
- Are you being consistent with your posts? So your audience knows that your page is worth visiting, as it always has good content
- Are your posts good quality?
Also try to mix up what you are posting to make it more interesting, rather than just writing text the entire time try to include a mixture of what is below…
- Links to articles
- Links to other websites
- Links to other tabs on your Facebook page
- Links to your website
- Links to a video
- Photos
- Video
- Podcasts
Try these tips and you should soon see a lot more interaction on your Facebook page which will lead to more visitors, more engagement and more brand awareness.
